Drone Operations Support Unit (OSU)
The OSU provides full operational support for drone security flight crews. The vehicle is purpose built to support teams in the field, allowing for sustainable operations.
The OSU Enables the Flight Crew to:
- Carry out all per flight checks in white light
- Securely and safely store data and imagery on board
- Carry out prolonged duty shifts supported by eating, washing and toilet facilities
- Provide a mobile operations room with information technology to support operations
- Provide shelter and warmth for crew rest periods using on board heaters and seating areas for both RP and OBV, Supporting crew health and fatigue management
- Provide a suitable work area for on site risk assessment
- Provide a suitable work area for duty logs and incident reports
- Provide solar energy to power all vehicle systems and UAS batteries
- Switch between 240 Direct feed and 12 Volt batteries
- Provide emergency lighting in the event of a power failure using a generator (batteries depleted)
- Provide high definition screens/viewing station for crew and a third party to view captured flight imagery
